Double-hand Poker is a current game with old origins. Based on the old Chinese tile game and the modern American version of poker, Pai Gow poker bands together the far east with the western in an excellent game for beginner level players.
Pai Gow is a poker game that puts the player versus the dealer, unlike nearly all other poker games that players wager against other players. By betting against the dealer, beginner players don’t need to worry about other, more knowledgeable players winning their money.
Another Pai Gow advantage is the relatively leisurely game play, rookies should be able to take their time and plan without needing to make quick selections.
It’s also easier to enjoy for a very long time with only a little bit of money after all, to lose, both of your hands must be lower than both of the houses hands.
Pai Gow is played with 53 cards; the regular 52-card common deck and a single joker. The gambler is given seven cards faces showing and the dealer is dealt 7 cards faces hidden.
One five card hand and a two card hand must be made from the 7 cards, the five card hand must be better than the two card hand. To succeed, a player is required to have both of his hand totals to be higher than the houses.
