Terrible Fortune in Poker
For a game where the majority of participants occasionally consider fortune, there are tons of superstitions in poker. When you say that a player was fortunate in that poker tournament they captured, be mindful of how you mention it. For example, if you mention that you were unfortunate, your chances may not change.
Ok, that may sound a bit ubsurd, but poker is a casino game loaded with superstitions. Did you know that if you are gambling a game with 2 different decks and you are asked to select the deck, you should always choose the deck that’s the furthest away from you? Or, how about If you get a streak of terrible cards, you need to settle on a hankerchief to break your terrible luck? It is certainly thought of as good fortune to blow through a pack of cards while they are being shuffled.
A few other interesting poker superstitions are:
- You will be able to alter the run of cards by walking around your chair three times.
- The most beneficial seat at the poker table looks at the entry.
- The unluckiest seat has its rear to a fireplace.
- When shifting chairs, you really should always do so clockwise.
- The unluckiest poker card is the four of clubs.
- It’s most unlucky to sit with your legs crossed at the poker table.
- Fri is a terrible day for gambling on cards.
- The 13th is also a bad day, regardless of when it falls.
